Olsen TwinsWhile you or I were contentedly playing with Barbies, the Olsen twins were racking up a collective net worth of $100 million and a building a brand valued at $1 billion. The latest expansion of their empire is a jewellery line under their ready-to-wear label, Elizabeth and James.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have certainly come a long way since they first found fame on the set of Full House aged just nine months. Their new venture sees them teaming up with CFDA Lifetime Achievement winner and designer, Robert Lee Morris in a bid to design and launch the line in the US in September.

The launch, not accidentally, coincides with A/W’s hottest catwalk trend: ’statement jewellery’, with cuffs, pendants and colourful earrings set to spice up our winter wardrobes. If those enormous trademark Olsen shades, lace-up boots and everything-but-the-kitchen-sink totes are anything to go by, we can expect some fabulous big, bold and Boho accessories due to hit Selfridges this autumn.
