Not content with being a hell raiser, movie star, singer and a Hollywood ‘It’ girl, a certain Miss Lindsay Lohan feels like she needs to do what every celebrity feels they have the god given right to do… and that is to design fashion.

In her first outing as a bona fide designer, Lohan’s collection has been called ‘6126′, in homage to her idol Marilyn Monroe, 6126 being MM’s birth date. I think we are all familiar with Lindsay’s obsession with Marilyn and can’t help but think that naming her designer brand after M’s birthday, is both slack and unoriginal, but who am I to judge?

Hmmmmmm.

You see, the fact that a ‘celebrity’ feels that after years of free designer merchandise, this obviously equates to having a first class honors degree from Central St Martin, innately irritates me. Lindsay Lohan producing a range of leggings, that include knee pads??!!? super shiney spandex and zips, that retail up to $140 also, innately irritates me…

Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay you may think your latest offering is exactly what we all need in our lives, but we wish you would step out of LA la land for one second and realise that a) there is an economic recession a coming and leggings will certainly not solve that b) Again… $140 for some leggings? Sorry love, but your not Camilla Staerk just yet and c) knee pads on leggings?? Why exactly? No, just no!

Im sorry to have written so vehemently against Miss Lohan’s loving attempt to design, I don’t mean to offend anyone! I am sure she will do very well and no doubt we will be spotting Li-lo legs around town for time to come - but that still doesn’t mean I have to like them! I for one, certainly won’t be rushing out to buy them / line Lindsay’s spandex pockets any further.

What do you think, am I being too harsh?
