You would’ve had to have been living under a rock to have missed the fact that Madonna aka Material girl Madonna Louise Ciccone aka Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone Ritchie turned 50 at the weekend.

Years of attempting to defy nature and defy the odds, sadly cannot be, even if you are a macrobiotic machine. Madonna like everyone else has reached an age of supposed definition and wisdom, but it hasn’t been such a seamless ride. For some reason the phrase ‘growing old with dignity’ doesn’t really ring here.

Known for her shocking, sometimes really shocking outfits and image changes, throughout the years Madonna has offered us an eclectic array of fashion choices - from punk, to Marilyn, to gothic, to disco queen, some are of course better than others.

However in recent years, these outfits appear to be getting smaller and smaller with pleading cries of ‘please Madge put your giblets away’ being heard far too often.
