Not often does a day go by when a certain Lily Allen is not pictured doing something somewhere. However with photos having surfaced early this week depicting the star hitting and punching a passer by after a night out, it begs the question should we really publicise this kind of behaviour?

Yes, yes everyone knows that the media publish what they want, plus any publicity is good publicity right? But surely Lily Allen is aware of the spiraling stats on violent crime in the capital and instead of appearing feisty, she simply looks vicious!

To be fair, it appeared that the girl who Lily punched in the head, in full view of the trailing paparazzi and numerous video cameras, had been heckling her for no reason and had said some pretty vile stuff herself - how ever this is no excuse for Lily to walk over and perform what, quite simply, amounts to assault. Not new to attacking people in the street, the fact Lily was arrested last June 07 for trying to karate kick a photographer is worrying enough, but to be photographed doing it all again is just plain stupid…

A young women of her stature and notoriety should have had the good sense and the maturity to simply ignore the girl shouting abuse and to appreciate that she (Lily) probably has things much better than she (the other delightful girl) does - even if Lily had been drinking and was feeling the collective bravado of the pack.

But that’s another story, and I assume another photo op…
