Bora Aksu S/S 09
With last seasons leather inspired utility bodices still fresh in peoples memories, it was an excited, stylish crowd that congregated at the BFC tents this morning, for the eagerly awaited Bora Aksu S/S 09 collection.

There is a reason why this talented young designer has won the prestigious New Generation Topshop sponsorship four times in a row and that was clearly displayed as the Bora Aksu models walked notably, slowly and delicately down the catwalk.
Dressed in swathes of organza, silk, two-tone satin and billowing gauze, Bora Aksu’s love of fine feminine fabrics and intricate almost nomadic detailing was ever present. Tuliped skirts and soft tailored jackets were both smart and dream like, with veils, delicate blouses, intricate stitching on the chest and chiffon capes flowing around the body giving a silhouette of movement and grace.
A soft pastel palette of pink, white, peach, cream, lime, moss green and black all epitomised the feminine neutrality of this collection.
This collection is very wearable, maybe more so than last season, with the whole collection having an other-worldy feel, almost angelic in it’s quality, it was truely beautiful and reinforced Bora Aksu’s indoctrination into the forefront of the London fashion scene.
