April fools?
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008Hats off to the BBC who pulled a fast one with their penguin fantasy - apparently a few people were bamboozled by this amazing discovery by writer and film maker Terry Jones. Brilliant.

Well, sort of. Have a look at Mag My Pic - a site that allows you to download your own photo onto the cover of a magazine of your choice. With options like Rolling Stone, Time, Cosmo and Vogue (see my very own debut), there is much fun to be had.
The covers are of course fake, but your social networking friends don’t need to know that…
I bet none of you have ever had this much fun at a gym.
Everyday, my friends send me a new funwall post – sometimes they’re great and often they are deleted immediately. Funwall posts are just like humour – personal and oftentimes just plain weird. Mostly the posts are humorous, rude, interesting – rarely do I feel a shiver down my spine, so this one is worth sharing for that reason.
I’ll apologise in advance for the narrators voice – migraine inducing.
I found this little website and had to share it because it’s just plain hilarious.
Ever listened to the nonsense lyrics on the radio and thought ‘well I could do better than that’? Well now you can. Almost. For all budding songwriters out there or people simply wanting a break from the mundane: Go to http://sr.se/p1/src/sing. Fill in your little lyrics in the white block, press play and it sings anything back to you by collecting the words from well known songs. Far from harmonious but lots of fun - give it a try.
Christmas has arrived at koodos in the form of snowflakes, gift lists and stocking fillers. After calling a brainstorm session for Christmas ideas, it was obvious we all still loved the Dickensian story of snow, kindness, love and lots of presents for the festive season.
Our snowflakes have a little bit of a twist to them – just click on either Womens, Handbags, Jewellery, or Mens tabs at the top of the site and you’ll see what I mean.

The koodos team for throwing in ideas and putting up with my Christmas Carol YouTube addiction.
Take it away Nat.
Something close to my heart, being part of the koodos team, is a good deal. I know there’s nothing better than knowing you got something for a better price, ‘bucking the system’ some call it, ’savvy shopping’ we prefer. And there’s something a little fun about being the know-it-all, sharing with your friends how they too can be savvy shoppers. But one thing that is essential is never compromising on quality for a cheaper price.
With this in mind, here are some fab deals around this week, that I couldn’t help but share with you
www.lastminute.com is having a theatre sale with up to 50% off. (Get in there before the xmas prices cripple us).
Free entertainment tonight - get more culture than an actimel drink with a Chinese teas and beers do at the British Museum tonight 6:30-9pm - FREE.
And finally though I’ll probably get into trouble for this, HMV have a 15% off code doing the rounds, and if it didn’t reach you, here it is - HMV015 (very naughty of me - smack smack).
Have a great day.
I know nothing about rugby except I prefer watching it to football. There’s something quite fascinating about how these huge men listen and ultimately respect the little ref. Our flat had a few extra visitors for the World Cup final and minutes before the game was due to start a hushed and venerable silence fell across the room.

Kept us smiling anyway.
A while ago I mentioned high-lighting a few of the best bits from YouTube and this is just too cute not to share. Make sure your sound’s on.
Although not new (2005 I believe) I stumbled across this Chanel advert starring Nicole Kidman and had to share it with you in. Directed by cinematographic genius Baz Luhrmann, the colours and angles are mesmerising. What a beautiful ad. Have a look.
