Sigourney Weaver hit the headlines recently for calling on Hollywood stars to recycle their red carpet frocks - “I want to see people at movie premieres wearing outfits they’ve had for ten years,” she said. We only ask because red popped up in lots of the forthcoming spring 2009 collections (including Lanvin and, as seen here on Jessica Alba at the Campari calendar launch, Dolce & Gabbana), which makes it a shade worth seeking out now - snap up a little red dress for your Christmas party and it will still look current next season.
