There has been a bit of a ruckus in the press recently, namely between a certain 23 year old, Keira Knightley and… er women, in general.

One blogger stated last week, that if a woman wanted to bond with another woman who she did not know, all she would need to ask was “What do you think of Keira Knightley?” and apparently in the “resulting torrent of bile and loathing you will bond.” Delightful indeed but is that even at all fair?

Ok, let’s face facts, Keira Knightley is beautiful, successful, young, rich and eek thin. Well that’s it then isn’t it? She has signed her own death warrant. For on this little wet island to be loved, adored and of course to grace the front pages - we want drama, breakup’s, medical battles, the lot. Yet calm collected Keira gives us none of that, only effortless grace and dignified responses. Annoying? A little.

Ok, let’s face more facts, we all obviously, definitely, harbour a tiny little sprinkling of jealously towards the Oscar nominated actress because of, well the obvious. But deep down we know she is a funny, sarcastic, astute young woman, flying the flag for British leading ladies and of course she an extensive collection of enviable dresses - did you see that little blue Alexis Mabille A/W 08 couture number and chanel jewellery she wore to the London screening of her latest film, The Duchess? Very Nice.

Deep down we like her, we like her style and we love her life, we wish we were her and we daydream of co-staring with Jonny Depp, not once but the full three times… Oh yes Keira Knightley does have it all and we sometimes find that hard to swallow, but before we judge her to harshly for that just think we could be talking about Lindsay Lohan… eek.

Who would have thought little Emma Watson aka wizard boff Hermione Granger could cast her spell so spectacularly upon fashion powerhouse Chanel.

If current rumours are true, Miss Watson is set to enchant a two year contract, worth £3 million, out of Chanel. Good work! A lucrative move that will see Emma not only replace a naked Keira Knightley as the face of Coco Mademoiselle perfume, but ensure her seamless transition from child ‘Potter’ stardom to fully grown glam puss. Both quite impressive feats if I do say so myself.

It seems that Chanel have had their eye on the young actress for some time, having dressed her for numerous red carpet events around the world, prepping both the actress and the public for the collaboration.

And from what we can see, Emma Watson is proving time after time to shine in the labels designs. We look forward to seeing the new campaign, when Miss Knightley’s comes to an end this year, the question is will Emma pose with the bowler hat too?
