Here are 5 reasons why we loved London Fashion Week these season… what do you think?

1. The not-quite-A-list celebs – after the glossy perfection of the New York front rows, it was refreshing to see Peaches Geldof yawning her way through Temperley.
2. Daisy Lowe – she’s two dress sizes bigger than your average model, she told Grazia, and she doesn’t care.
3. It’s a great incentive to get your look together right at the beginning of the season. Our autumn wardrobes complete, we can now relax until next March.
4. With Topshop and Jaeger London on the catwalk schedule, London is as much about the high street as it is about unattainable designer looks.
5. Sarah Brown: after going head to head with Carla Bruni earlier this year, hosting the London Fashion Week reception at number 10 held no fear for the Prime Minister’s wife. In her purple Jaeger cocktail frock, she pulled it off.

Always the wild child, 19-year-old Peaches Geldof was found unconscious in her North-London pad yesterday due to - you guessed it - suspected drug overdose. She had to be resuscitated by a friend and an ambulance was called out.

After being successfully revived, Peaches refused to be taken to the hospital, most likely for fear of a second wind of daddy’s wrath. As if this would never escape to the celebrity-obsessed public…

The news was a huge scandal to those familiar with her family’s history. One time TV presenter mother, Paula Yates, died at the young age of 41 due to an accidental heroin overdose in 2000; resulting in Bob Geldof’s supposed stern nature concerning his daughters and drugs - apparently his influence doesn’t reach that far! Either that, or Peaches isn’t too outwardly concerned about following in her mother’s footsteps - how awful.

The best part? The possible drug overdose was just a small blip in her plans for the rest of the day: she was still ready in time to attend The Dark Knight premiere in Leicester Square a mere few hours later (looking perfectly trendy, as always). Now that’s some dedication to the red carpet! Maybe it’s just me, but shouldn’t a brush with “the kiss of life” be taken a bit more seriously? She was probably out at all the parties after the premiere! I guess as long as you have a rich family and a friend who knows CPR, flirting with an overdose is just another tragically glamorous “to do” in your diary.

 

 

Peaches Geldof is reported to be the new face of Agent Provocateur.

With a hunger for fame that has lead her down some questionable paths, snort, this could be the lucky break Peaches has been waiting for. Nothing like being paralleled with Kate Moss to give your career a bit of a boost.

Although recently most commonly recalled as half of DJing duo ‘Trash Pussies’, Peaches has been heralded by some as a fashion icon and famously called Trinny and Susannah (from the self-named show) ‘upper-class bitches with no fashion sense’. There was also much hoo-ha from the last London Fashion Week as Peaches modelled upcoming London label PPQ’s latest collection.

I personally miss what everyone else seems to be going on about as I find her look rather average, dare I say dull? I believe the reason for her latest deal with the lingerie label is more owing to the icon behind the face and body on show - of a young, creative girl from a well-to-do family in her desperate search for fame. That and the fact that her full name is actually Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof.
