Fendi and The 5 Italian sisters

Fendi originally was a small family run leather tanning and fur shop in Rome not 100 years ago - today it is one of the finest purveyors of leather and fur fashion on the planet. Born of the hard work and dedication of a family of 5 Fendi sisters, this is a fashion brand that you simply cannot ignore.

Fendi does not break the boundaries of men's and women's fashion ideals however what it does master is the use of materials, namely fur and leather. Favouring skirts and jacket combinations in the Autumn 2007/Winter 2008 collection, the Spring / Summer 08 collection took a similar tone, however a fresh look was achieved with flowing materials emphasising the feminine character of the season.

White, yellow and black were the big colours on the Fendi catwalks, belted waists are imperative and as per usual the fashion house displayed an impressive array of designs, detailing what exactly could be done with otherwise complicated materials and last but not least, of course the infamous Fendi handbags were to die for...

Fendi and the 'IT' bag

Fendi, although famed for their leather and furs, have in recent years found a new niche with their fashion accessories, namely their dazzling array of leather designer handbags. It was in 2005 that the Fendi 'Spy' bag made its mark on the fashion world, celebrities were clamouring to get their hands on this Fendi product, including the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Hillary Duff, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani, not too mention the others.

The Fendi bag has reinvented the brand, who now commands great attention when ever a new handbag of theirs is unveiled and it is not unheard of to wait up to a year to get your hands on one.
