Geox – Clever designer shoes
Founded in the 1990’s, Geox was born from the ‘hot feet’ of designer Mario Polegato. Tired of having hot, sweaty feet, Polegato cut some holes into the soles of his shoes and it was there and then, that Geox was born.
Rejected by big brands, Polegato developed his idea further Polegato designing his own range of shoes named Geox, (Geox being a mixture of the Greek ‘Geo’ which means ‘earth on which we walk’ and ‘X’, a letter element that represents new technology) – each with a patented ‘breathing’ sole that affords complete comfort to the wearer.
